Operator Station D9R

operator station d9r

Fully adjustable seat

The fully adjustable seat provides maximum comfort and less operator fatigue. The operator can adjust the seat height, front to rear position, tilt, and seat back angle. The seat is angled 15° to the right to provide maximum visibility of implement operation.

lever identification and function d9r

Machines with steering clutches and brakes are equipped with two steering levers at the left of the seat. Moving the left steering lever (1) toward the rear of the machine (slightly less than one-half the full travel distance) releases the left steering clutch, which disconnects the track from the power train. Moving the left steering lever the full travel distance engages the left brake. The right steering lever (2) operates the same as the left steering lever. To make a gradual turn, move the steering lever less than one-half the full travel distance, and to make a sharp turn, move the steering lever the full travel distance.

The machine with steering clutches and brakes is also equipped with a U-shaped transmission shift pattern. Moving the shift lever (3) along the left side of the U-shaped pattern selects a REVERSE speed, while moving the shift lever along the right side selects a FORWARD speed. At the front of the U-shaped pattern is the NEUTRAL position.

The parking brake lever is located below the steering clutch and brake levers. Moving the lever up releases the parking brake and unlocks the transmission control from NEUTRAL.

dual twist lever

The dual twist tiller control lever (1) on the differential steer machine combines machine steering, directional changes, and gear selection into a single control. Rotating the transmission speed selector (2) selects a transmission speed. The transmission speed selector is always in one of the three transmission speeds.

The operator can select three conditions by rotating the dual twist tiller. Rotating the dual twist tiller lever toward the front selects the FORWARD direction, and rotating the lever toward the rear selects the REVERSE direction. Both of these positions are detented and will stay in the selected direction until the operator manually removes them. The NEUTRAL position is between the FORWARD and the REVERSE positions. This position is also detented.

With the machine in FORWARD, moving the dual twist tiller lever toward the front causes the machine to turn left, while moving the tiller lever to the rear causes the machine to turn right. When the operator releases the tiller lever, a centering spring returns the lever to the center NO STEER position.

Moving the parking brake and transmission lock lever (3) up locks the transmission in NEUTRAL and ENGAGES the parking brake.
